A metaphor of christian living

How do you see yourself? What words describe your christian life? What feelings surge when you consider your spiritual life?

Psalm 1 describes the person who delights in ‘the law of the Lord’ to be like a tree.  There are trees and trees.  We are not talking dead, dying elm trees here.  We are talking about a flourishing tree, whose leaves do not wither and which bears fruit in season.  A tree offers shade from the heat.  God alo describes himself as OUR SHADE.  The flourishing tree is planted by streams of water.

What water are you drinking from today and how are you providing shade for those around you?  Let’s create a forest as we drink from the stream of living water today.
